THE PROPHET

THE PROPHET 1978

White light transmission hologram,
film 8.5”x8.5”

A perfect example of early holographic kitsch. This company was an early player in mass-produced commercial images.

The only interesting thing about it was that the stage designer Steve Whitson borrowed it for a play-in-the-round called The Rontgen Light, where it featured as an image in a seance. One of the few examples of holography used in theatre.
